The Sanctuary Women’s Ministry was formally organized in 2000 and has been led by Letha Hammond since its inception. The main focus of this ministry is to provide fellowship, support, and encouragement for each other. This ministry is based on the Biblical principle of accepting and loving everyone. This group includes women of all ages. Our activities are multifaceted and includes Bible studies and fellowship times. Everyone is welcome to enjoy a monthly “Birthday Luncheon” when we honor those celebrating a birthday. One of the most important contributions of our ministry is providing comfort and food in times of sorrow and sickness. The annual Mother’s Day Luncheon presents fashions, “fun-time,” and featured speakers. A new part of our ministry, which is designed for young mothers, meets weekly for sharing and support.

Traditionally in churches women have been very effective fund-raisers. Our most successful fund-raiser is a collectible custom designed “Shelia House” of The Sanctuary. These funds have helped beautify The Sanctuary and purchase needed supplies for the Fellowship Hall kitchen. All ladies of the Sanctuary are encouraged to participate and enjoy the activities of the Women’s Ministry.
