Dr. Hugo S. Hammond has been a part of the Sanctuary’s Pastoral Staff for nine years. He serves as a family and personal counselor, and as leader of the Trailblazers, the church’s group of those 50 and older. He brings a vast range of experience, having served as pastor of six congregations and serving twenty-three years as a U. S. Navy Chaplain. His military assignments included three years as the Navy’s Family Enrichment Officer in Washington, DC. He achieved the senior officer rank of Navy Captain (O-6), and the special training received in counseling enables him to provide skilled and confidential assistance today.
